• Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors.
• Appliessterile techniques and appropriate standard precautionsin utilizing Personal Protective equipment(PPE) to prevent crosscontamination in accordance with OH policy and training procedures.
• Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
• Assistsin the supervision ofstudenttechnologists and the training of new technologists.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Demonstrates proficiency in supply usage, charging, and documentation.
• Ensuresthe safety of all customers.
• Demonstrates knowledge regarding location, use, and troubleshooting of complex technical equipment and instruments. Acts as a
resource for its operation and training.
• Maintainsthe use of customer service skillsin communication with all Orlando Health staff, visitors, and co-workers.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels of supplies, equipment, resources, tools, and forms.
• Performs as a mentor/preceptor for new staff whilemaintaining high standards of patient care, documentation, and professionalism.
• Understands the application and technical aspects of all equipment and supplies used in all procedures.
• Ensuresthat case turnover time is within established departmentstandards bymaintaining proper workflow and prioritizing optimal
patient care.
• Maintainsreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal,
state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.
Education/Training
Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure/Certification
• Valid Certified Radiologic Technologistlicensure by the State of Florida; and
• Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT) certification; and
• Required tomaintain BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
