Administrative Assistant – Cancer Institute
Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital – St. Petersburg, Florida

 

Orlando Health Bayfront is proud to announce the opening of our new Cancer Institute, bringing advanced, compassionate cancer care to the St. Petersburg community. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to the Senior Director and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the radiation and surgical oncology offices within the Cancer Institute.

 

Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant performs advanced, diversified and confidential secretarial and administrative duties requiring broad experience and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. This role provides direct support to the Senior Director and requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and organizational skill.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Answer, screen, and route calls; take messages; and resolve inquiries.

  • Greet and screen visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail; operate office equipment (copy/fax).

  • Order and maintain office supplies.

  • Establish and maintain filing systems, records, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Conduct research, compile data, and perform basic analysis.

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and prepare meeting materials.

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.

  • Record meeting minutes and distribute accordingly.

  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.

  • Provide support on special projects and initiatives.

  • Handle confidential employee and organizational information with discretion.

  • Interact professionally with leadership, staff, and external partners.

  • May provide work direction to other clerical personnel.

Education/Training

High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Experience

Minimum of four (4) years clerical or secretarial experience.
