Job Summary
The Nursing Operations Manager (NOM) is responsible for leading and managing the clinical and operational performance of the Med Surg unit.This role ensures delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and accountability.
The NOM partners with nursing leadership to execute strategic goals, optimize team workflows, and implement continuous quality improvement practices across the assigned departments.
Essential Functions:
Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or graduate degree in a health-related or business field preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Current RN license in the State of Florida or via Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced certifications may be required depending on unit population (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC)
National nursing leadership certification (ANCC or AONL) required within 2 years
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience in an acute care setting
Minimum 1 year of leadership or management experience
